Cathay Pacific Expands Partnership with Adyen for Global Payments

Cathay Pacific has expanded its partnership with Adyen, a financial technology platform, to enhance its global payment capabilities. This collaboration, which began in 2014, now includes direct acquiring services in key markets such as Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Japan, and India.

The expansion aims to improve authorization rates and reduce payment fees for Cathay Pacific. Following the implementation of Adyen’s solution in India, the airline reported a 10% increase in authorization rates in that market.

Cathay Pacific’s General Manager of Sales and Distribution, Kinto Chan, stated that the partnership enables a secure transaction experience for customers while facilitating market expansion. Adyen’s President for Asia-Pacific, Warren Hayashi, emphasized the importance of optimizing payment processes to support Cathay Pacific’s commercial growth globally.
