Ookla has released data analyzing user reports from Downdetector for the year 2025. In the APAC region, X (Twitter) experienced the most significant outage, with 645,395 reports. Snapchat followed with 399,108 reports, while YouTube had 245,087 reports related to its service issues. AWS outages contributed to 175,380 reports, with an additional incident on April 15 generating 106,667 reports.
Globally, the largest outage was attributed to an AWS incident, which received over 17 million reports across Amazon and affected services. The second largest outage occurred in the gaming sector, with the PlayStation Network receiving over 3.9 million reports. The third largest outage, affecting over 3.3 million reports, was due to a global disruption of Cloudflare.
